Phenylbutazone  20 g

Benzyl alcohol .. 1 ml

Disodium edetate

Excipient to 100 ml

PROPERTIES

Phenylbutazone is a powerful non-steroidal anti-inflammatory

agent, with anti  al, analgesic and antipyretic

effects. Like rheumatismother pyrazole derivatives, phenylbutazone

intervenes in the early stages of inflammatory

reaction, acting on vascular permeability and the resulting

oedema and diapedesis

PHENYLARTRHITE INJECTABLE will be used in the following

affections:

–arthritis

–tendinitis

–articular and muscular rheumatisms

-congestive processes

– hyperthermia and heat stroke

–inflammatory complications of trauma and infection

INDICATIONS

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory

DOSAGE AND MODE OF ADMINISTRATION

Phenylarthrite is administered by intravenous injection as

follow

HORSES:

2.5-5 ml (0.5 – 19) per 250 kg body weight daily,

Total daily dose should not exceed 20 ml, regardless of weight.

Do not treat intravenously for more than 5 consecutive days.

DOGS

Prescription only medicine

Do not overdose

0.5 ml (100 mg) per 5 kg body weight daily. Total daily dosage for animal treatment only

should not exceed 4 ml regardless the weight

Do not treat intravenously for more than 2 consecutive days

route of administration avoid withdrawing blood and mixing

syringe.

Intramuscular injection should be carried out deep in the muscle

mass.

All injections should be carried out using aseptic technique

Animals suffering from vascular fragility or coagulation defects

should receive a lower dose-rate and the injections should not be

repeated.

stated dose or the duration of treatment.
